Abstract

An experimental study was made of the possibility of efficient pumping of a cw dye laser with a freely flowing jet by the radiation emitted from a high-current argon laser with a large-diameter active region. The output power of the Ar+ laser was ~30 W in axial modes when a three-mirror V-shaped resonator was used and the output power of the dye laser was ~6 W. The dependence of the dye laser power was determined as a function of the pump intensity up to 27 W.
