Abstract

We developed a RFLP technique to distinguish between B. oleracea and B. campestris, which can be carried out on callus tissue. The probes used are derived from a clone for rDNA from B. oleracea. The technique is rapid, reliable and, because of the high copy number of rDNA genes, requires only small amounts of material (0.1 g callus).
