The bronchospasm did not respond fully to conventional therapy, which included inhaled anesthetics and aerosolized β-adrenergic agents in combination with aminophylline, epinephrine, and corticosteroid, and separation from CPB became difficult. Additional therapeutic modalities are suggested.
