Abstract

• Features identified on epiphysis of guanaco long bones from Patagonian are discussed. • Experimental tools were made in Lama guanicoe long bones. • The replicas were used to crush and hammer soft and hard materials. • Our work sustains that “ machacadores ” were opportunistic artifacts. • “ Machacadores ” are not a fracture technique to provoke a transversal fracture.
