Use a Cap for Colonic Diverticular Hemorrhage

Abstract

Endoscopists are aware that treatment of bleeding colonic diverticula with endoscopic hemostasis clips, electrocautery, or rubber band ligation can effectively control diverticular bleeding. The problem is that the bleeding diverticulum is often not located in 75% or more of patients. In the current study, investigators evaluated whether use of a “hood method” could improve detection of bleeding diverticula.
