Abstract
Tourism Management is here reprinting the Conclusions and Recommendations section of World Tourism at the Millennium, a policy document produced by David Edgell, Acting Under Secretary in the US Department of Commerce, on the future of US tourism. In particular it discusses the policies needed to increase the benefits and limit the negative impacts of tourism and highlights the issues that will cause most concern in the coming years.
