Innes Williams, from the Hospital for Sick Children, Great Ormond Street, London, with the aid of collaborators in appropriate areas, presents a valuable compendium of current knowledge in the more important areas in this ever-growing subspecialty. The table of contents alone requires 11 pages to list in outline format the subsequent material. The team approach, imperative to-day for the intelligent practice of urology in childhood, is exemplified in the opening chapters, written by T. Martin Barratt, a pediatric nephrologist also from Great Ormond Street.
