Abstract
The review addresses the main issues related to the rational pharmacotherapy of urinary tract infection (UTI). UTIs are a common and important clinical problem in children. Among UTI causative agents in children are dominated by gram-negative bacteria, E. coli. According to modern clinical guidelines, the leading direction in the treatment of UTI in children is antibiotic therapy, which should be prescribed taking into account the sensitivity of microorganisms. Drugs of choice for UTI in children: cephalosporins or protected aminopenicillins

Однако эта тенденция меняется для детей в возрастной группе от 1 года до 7 лет, когда девочки (от 0,9 до 8 %) более склонны к ИМВП, чем мальчики (от 0,2 до 2 %) [3, 21]. При осложненной форме ИМВП E. coli, как возбудитель, встречается с частотой до 47,1 % случаев [8]. Ведущим направлением в лечении ИМВП у детей является антибактериальная терапия. В настоящее время более половины штаммов E. coli при ИМВП у детей приобрели устойчивость к амоксициллину, однако сохраняют умеренную чувствительность к амоксициллину / клавуланату [5, 6, 26]. Цефалоспорины второго или третьего поколения, аминогликозиды являются препаратами выбора для эмпирического лечения ИМВП у детей. 1.
