Abstract

Bisphenol-A (BPA) is an environmentally ubiquitous estrogen-like endocrine- disrupting compound. Exposure to BPA in utero has been linked to female reproductive disorders, including breast cancer. In rodents, BPA exposure has been shown to cause malformation of the mammary gland leading to carcinoma. We hypothesize that high urinary BPA concentrations would be positively associated with breast cancer.
