Abstract
1. When examining the problem of the conservation and rational use of water resources it is necessary to study jointly the interrelated processes on the drainage area, shore zone, and within the water body. 2. The wide use in the economy of industrial methods of reproducing water resources with the use of closed water supply cycles and zero-water and zero-waste technologies of the basic types of industries is the basis of the water-conservation policy in the immediate period.
