Abstract

Urethrovaginal reflux is a functional disorder in prepubertal girls with reflux of urine in the vagina during early part of voiding with resultant incontinence after the patient assumes upright posture. Our case demonstrates urethrovaginal reflux in an elderly patient with gross distension of the vagina on computed tomography urography images, possibly secondary to functional spastic pelvic floor muscles. Awareness of urethrovaginal reflux is important for appropriate management and for avoidance of unnecessary further diagnostic workup.
