Abstract

Objective To improve the diagnoses and treatment of urethral duplication in male children. Methods Trajectory, voiding cystourethrography, retrograde urethrography were performed in 5suspected cases, after the verification of diagnoses, accessory urethrae was resected and urethroplasty was performed. Results The diagnoses were confirmed by operational exploration and pathological examination. Uneventful recovery was found during long follow-up. Conclusions Trajectory, Voiding cystourethrography, especially retrograde urethrography, are effective means for diagnose urethral duplication . Surgical treatment is indicated for those with urethral obstruction, recurrent urethral infection, urea incontinence, penile malformation, et al.
