Davis and Olivetti1 reported a case confined to the kidneys and the adrenal (chiefly cortex) and perirenal tissues, with one metastasis in the liver. They believed from the histologic characteristics that the lymphomatous process originated in the adrenal cortex and/or the periadrenal and perirenal adipose tissue. Since primary involvement of the kidney itself probably never occurs, Gibson2 has suggested that the term "lymphosarcoma of the kidney" be replaced by the more nearly correct designation, "renal lymphomatosis."The kidney is quite commonly...Bibliography1.
