Abstract

The amount of excretion of amino acid is lower when the flukes are kept in vitro in the incubation media without glucose (control) than in the incubation media with glucose. The amount of excreted amino acid shows highly significant values than that of control in vitro condition. In the swim bladder washings of host Wallago attu amino acids are also present in significant amounts. Tyrosine, arginine, tryptophan, phenylalanine, cysteine, methionine, proline, hydroxyproline were identified in the excretory materials. So, amino acid is one of the important excretory products in Isoparorchis hypselobagri.
