Abstract

This article will provide an analysis of the implementation of sustainable development policies in lower-income urban communities. Arguably, sustainable development policies can potentially improve the overall environmental and economic quality of life for people living within such communities. This, however, presents a challenge for public policy and administration on how best to manage and administer sustainable development policies within this context. Consequently, this paper will focus on the “transorganizational” approach to public administration, which arguably best fits a sustainable development model.
