Abstract

The present study represents the novel methodology for quantitative evaluation of the coordinated relationships (CR) between BRTS and land use under transit-oriented development (TOD) mode by using the data envelopment analysis (DEA) model. By using the most robust indicators of the BRTS and land use as input-output. Ranking assigned to the TOD area according to their coordinated development score. The superefficiency DEA method is used as a ranking methodology to rank the extremely efficient TOD area. With the help of DEA projection theory by utilizing the slack variables, the target value is assigned to inefficient TOD area to make it efficient. This methodology applies to 16 TOD area in Bhopal city, India. It is an adaptive method to find out the CR between BRTS and land use. Measuring CR is useful for efficient and sustainable urban planning. This study will provide sustainable station level planning for urban planners and experts.
