Abstract
This research came through multiple axes represented by the reasons behind the urban sprawl towards the waterfront resulting from population growth, spatial expansion outside the boundaries of the master plan of the city of Ramadi, abuses and the absence of the rule of law, with the large number of rubble as a result of demolitions that were exposed to large parts of the city of Ramadi . The first topic included the forms of urban growth towards the environment of the Euphrates River and Al Warar Canal represented by the consequences of this urban sprawl towards the environment of the river and the canal, resulting in economic effects related to the loss of rare agricultural land, the shrinkage of the river basin and its alluvial soils, morphological effects and environmental effects represented by pollution.
