Abstract

The research aims to show the importance of Hajj observatory for the quality of life during Hajj and Umrah. The Hajj observatory report was a part of the project of implementing the urban observatory of Mecca, and it is a unique experience in the municipality work to observe this unique pilgrimage. The research discusses how to increase the quality of life during pilgrimage, by observing the right indicators in the Hajj observatory to help the urban managers and other Hajj stick holders increase it. The research also discusses the need to create an independent urban observatory for Hajj, to support the Hajj and Umrah systems, and increase the role of urban observatory for Hajj in measuring and comparing the socioeconomic characteristics of pilgrims, providing a neutral and fair tool for local hajj stick holders and higher managers to evaluate the governmental performance in Hajj, evaluating the services provided to pilgrims through the urban indicators for the Hajj. This paper ended by the recommendations that would promote the establishment of suggested independent urban observatory for Hajj and Umrah.
