Abstract

Background: Minimally invasive cardiac surgery is popular around the world. Minimally invasive cardiac surgery for aortic root disease is not done at Cho Ray Hospital. Its feasibility and safety are not clear. This study estimated the applications of minimally invasive cardiac surgery for proximal aortic disease, including aortic valve disease, root anuerysm, and ascending and arch diseases of the aorta.
