Abstract

Under the assumption of a V - A structure for the weak hadronic neutral current we construct models for this current, compatible with recent experimental data from CERN-Gargamelle, SLAC and Fermilab experiments. We find that neutral currents enhance primarily the ΔI = 1 component of the weak Hamiltonian and introduce substantial contributions to nuclear parity-violating effects.
