Abstract

Seismotectonic Zone of Zagros is one of the most active seismic areas in Iran. Therefore, in this study, the tectonic structure of the area was investigated using seismographic stations around the Seymare dam in Ilam province. Mormori earthquake with magnitude of 6.1 occurred in August 2014, 77 km south-east of the dam site and well recorded at local stations. All data collected from seismic stations around Seymare Dam from 2014 to 2016 was collected. By seismic tomography, the velocity of seismic waves was calculated by one-dimensional inversion. Using the calculated velocity model, location was coded using hypoDD method and distribution of center and depth sections were reviewed which is in good agreement with the fault processes of the area. The Vp / Vs ratio was calculated to be 1.65 Which is different from the previous results of the Mormori earthquake in the area. This indicates tectonic changes after the earthquake in the region.
