Abstract
Abstract In the CMS experiment, the Fast Beam Conditions Monitor provides an online, bunch-by-bunch measurement of luminosity and machine induced background. The Beam Pickup Transformer provides a precise measurement of beam intensity and arrival time. Upgraded back-end electronics have been developed for the Beam Conditions Monitor, based on the μ TCA standard. This system is slated to replace the current readout systems of both detectors for the next LHC run.
