Abstract

Medium of performance is a common way of finding musical works, and the recently developed Library of Congress Medium of Performance Thesaurus for Music (LCMPT) improves access to medium of performance in bibliographic records compared to legacy standards. This article describes use of the “Music Form Genre” tool developed by Gary Strawn to add LCMPT terms, genre/form terms, and other updates to batches of bibliographic records for music scores for chamber music (Western art music composed for small ensembles). Additionally, URIs for name headings were added to the records in anticipation of future linked data developments.
