Abstract
SUMMARY Skeletal scintigraphy has a unique role in the diagnosis and management of major den-tofacial deformities. It may be part of a comprehensive approach to the establishment of proper treatment time, using newly derived normative data for craniofacial growth and development. A review of a large data base of of various dentofacial deformity patients has provided renewed insight into the dynamics of these conditions, suggesting new areas for investigation.
