Update on rural health activities: the home health perspective.

Abstract

Author’s note: Medicare is undergoing many changes as a new administration seeks to understand and address the program’s complexities. In fact, renaming the Health Care Financing Administration (HCFA) to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMMS) is a change that should make the organization more understandable and customer-oriented for both providers and beneficiaries. This article highlights some of the changes affecting home health agencies across the country.
