Abstract
CaTiO 3:Er 3+ (5%) nanocrystals were obtained by sol–gel method under acidic conditions. The sizes of nanocrystals were 40 nm. Strong green anti-Stokes emission was observed after excitation of the 4I 9/2 and 4I 11/2 level. The emission is due to excited state absorption (ESA) and energy transfer upconversion (ETU).
