Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of learning and improving science learning outcomes with the Small Group Discussion learning model assisted by interactive Powerpoint media in fourth grade students at SDN Tapen 2. This study used a class action research design consisting of 2 cycles. The research subjects were fourth grade students, totaling 17 students. Data collection instruments were carried out using observation techniques, documentation, and tests. Qualitative data analysis was carried out with the stages of data presentation, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the application of the Small Group Discussion model by teachers in cycle I was 80% and in cycle II the average increased to 91%. Student activity in process I obtained an average of 86% increasing to 92% in cycle II and classical completeness learning outcomes in cycle I obtained 59% with an average learning result of 76, experienced an increase in cycle II, namely 82% with an average score the average learning outcome is 81. So the conclusions obtained from the research results of applying the Small Group Discussion learning model assisted by interactive Powerpoint media can improve science learning outcomes in fourth grade students at SDN Tapen 2.
