Abstract
Higher education today no longer has a strong moral foundation and a noble personality. There are many deviations, whether it is done by lecturers, employees or by students. Through this research, students are expected to get ideas or strategies that can develop morals and character through education in the academic community. The research was conducted using literature review, namely collecting and analyzing sources and facts from literature such as books, journals, papers and theses. The results of the study found that universities as one of the educational institutions have a very important role related to the moral development and character of students. Identification of students' morals and character can be seen from academic and non-academic aspects. Character education forms a positive environment for moral growth.
