Abstract

Early stage renal cell carcinoma (RCC) may be treated by radical or partial nephrectomy. Recent studies suggest that a decrease of overall kidney function follows radical nephrectomy and is a significant risk factor for chronic kidney disease (CKD). CKD is a known independent risk factor for cardiovascular disease. To compare incidence of the development of CKD transition of a long-term kidney function after surgical treatment to the early stage renal cell carcinoma.
