Abstract

Alpha-methyl-acyl CoA racemase (AMACR), which has a significant role in the peroxisomal beta-oxidation of branched-chain fatty acids, is a valuable marker in prostate cancer diagnosis, included in the workup algorithm of difficult cases. This study intends to evaluate the value of immunohistochemical determination of AMACR in the diagnosis of prostate cancer.
