Abstract

Penile carcinoma (PC) is frequent in poorest world regions. Unfavorable hygienic and socioeconomic conditions, phimosis, chronic balanitis, premalignant lesions and tobacco exposure are well known risk factors. The role of promiscuity HPV infection and another sexually transmitted disease is not well understood. The authors investigated in a Brazilian multicentric case-control study, if the personal history of zoophilia (ZP) may be associated with PC.
