Abstract

Intrathecal and epidural administration of μ-agonist opioids like morphine are associated with urinary retention which is a potentially serious adverse event. In animal studies, tramadol has been found not to affect voiding function. We evaluated the urodynamic effects of epidural tramadol in human subjects.
