Abstract

Partial nephrectomy (PN) is the standard of care for tumors smaller than 4-cm. Moreover, many medical associations (EAU, AUA, NCCN) have recommended nephron-sparing surgery for some tumors larger than 4cm amendable to PN. These recommendations are based on reports from several relatively small case series. We herein present a systematic review of literature for oncological outcomes of partial nephrectomy procedures performed for tumors larger than 4-cm, published over the past decade.
