Abstract

Chronic cystitis in women is a big problem. The pathogenesis is not very clear, but the bladder epithelium defect has a fundamental role. In the genesis of bladder flogosis the defect of glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) plays, probably, a role of the “primo movens”. In this study we evaluated the role of bladder instillation with a combined solution of sodium halurate and chondroitin sulphate (IALURIL) in patients with recurrent bacterial cystitis.
