Abstract

With the availability of three-dimensional computer-volume rendering techniques or virtual-reality imaging, it is now possible to perform accurate intra-luminal imaging. Intra-luminal navigation through several hollow viscera like the colon, bronchus, stomach and urinary bladder has been reported in the literature. Urinary bladder may be an ideal intra-abdominal organ for performing virtual cystoscopy (VC) imaging with some studies comparing the relative accuracy of VC and cystopanendoscopy. The literature regarding the accuracy of VC in detecting intravesical lesions is scarce and equivocal.
