Abstract
Abnormal and excessive desire to smell certain odors or objects (desiderosmia) is reported to be seen with iron deficiency anemia. We present here four cases of desiderosmia in diagnosed patients of major depressive disorder without iron deficiency, where treatment of depression was associated with improvement in abnormal craving.
