Abstract
A 78-year-old man with coronary artery disease, prior myocardial infarction, and heart failure was referred for coronary artery bypass surgery. Left ventricular (LV) angiography showed the presence of a large apical aneurysm and, therefore, surgery included exclusion of the aneurysm using an aneurysmorphaphy patch. Myocardial viability study was not performed at this stage.
