Abstract

1. IntroductionFormation of gastropleural fistula requires breach of the gastricwall and diaphragm. These may be two separate and unrelatedincidents or occur simultaneously. Intrathoracic stomach, conse-quent to its herniation through hiatus or old neglected posttrau-matic diaphragmatic rupture, may perforate into the left pleuralcavity.
