Abstract

Copper single crystals oriented for single slip were deformed into stage I. Subsequently the crystals were cut parallel to various crystallographic planes and investigated by X-ray topography (Berg-Barrett-technique). From the analysis of the contrast on the X-ray topographs it was concluded that the dislocation arrangement in stage I consists mainly of groups of dipoles and multipoles of primary edge dislocations Systematic interactions between primary and secondary slip were not observed.
