Abstract

AbstractThree‐dimensional unsteady flow of thin liquid film over an impulsively stretching sheet is studied. Full 3D momentum equations are considered and solved analytically by using the singular perturbation technique to obtain an analytic expression for film thickness and liquid velocity inside the film. It is found that the film thickness decreases as time increases and it is independent of the stretching strength b at which the sheet is stretched along the y direction.
