Abstract

A numerical solution has been presented for the unsteady mixed convection on a wedge which is embedded in a fluid-saturated porous medium. The flow is impulsively sets into motion from rest and the temperature of the wedge is also suddenly changed from that of the ambient fluid. A second-order upwind finite-difference scheme has been used to solve the governing nonsimilar equations. The results are found to be in excellent agreement with some previously published data.
