Unsolvable Block Transitive Automorphism Groups of 2-(v,11,1) Designs

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to discuss the classification of 2-(v,11,1) designs whose automorphism group G acts block transitive on its block. By using the result of the maximal sub-groups of the finite exceptional group of Lie type, we prove that the unsolvable block-transitive group G can not be isomorphic to exceptional simple group of Lie type.
