Abstract

Plasmodium knowlesi, a malaria parasite found predominantly in Southeast Asia, presents a significant challenge to public health due to its ability to infect both humans and non-human primates (NHPs). Mosquito vectors of Plasmodium knowlesi are primarily Anopheles hackeri and Anopheles latens.
