Abstract

Using the method of complex-coordinate rotation, together with Hylleraas wavefunctions to take into account the correlation effects among the three charged particles, we report an investigation of resonances with unnatural parities in the e+–He+ system. States with angular momenta L = 1 to 6 and parity (−1)L+1 are calculated. Resonance energies and widths for the states lying below the He+ (N = 8) threshold are reported. According to their energies and widths, the present calculations indicate that these resonances may be classified into five groups, where one group is associated with the Ps (N = 2) threshold and the other four with the Ps (N = 3) threshold.
