Abstract
Frequencies of two external-cavity diode lasers were locked to Doppler-free resonances on the caesium D/sub 2/ line using the Zeeman modulation technique. In this technique the laser frequency is unmodulated. The Allan variance of beat note between two identical lasers was measured. Frequency stabilities of better than 10/sup -12/ were observed for averaging times from 10 to 300 s.
