Abstract

ABSTRACT Presented study seeks to examine the potential applications of the OpenAI language model, GPT-3, within the realm of education. Specifically, the inquiry focuses on the feasibility of utilizing GPT-3 to generate essays based on customized prompts. To this end, the experimentation involved providing GPT-3 with tailored prompts derived from diverse historical epochs, and subsequently assessing the generated essays in terms of their coherence, accuracy, and relevance. The outcomes of the study demonstrate that GPT-3 possesses a degree of suitability for employment within various educational contexts. The research delves into the opportunities that GPT-3 provides for both students and educators, while also taking into consideration the limitations of AI usage. Ultimately, the study concludes that GPT-3 can be assimilated into a variety of learning strategies, and possesses significant potential for augmenting educational outcomes. The findings of this research have critical implications for the utilization of artificial intelligence within education, and suggest that GPT-3 has the ability to revolutionize the manner in which students learn and engage with course material.
