Abstract

AbstractPerovskite light‐emitting diodes (PeLEDs) emerge as a promising kind of optoelectronic devices for the next‐generation full‐color display and white‐lighting technology. However, the performance of blue PeLEDs is far from satisfactory and some significant properties still remain unknown. Herein, for the first time, the active‐matrix display potential of blue PeLEDs has been unveiled by virtue of highly efficient, bright, and color‐stable blue PeLEDs. Through a synergistic strategy of ligand‐, anti‐solvent‐, device‐, and additive engineering, the photoluminescence quantum yield of blue perovskite films is as high as 76%. Blue PeLEDs exhibit a maximum external quantum efficiency of 9.81% at 251 cd m−2, a maximum power efficiency of 9.78 lm W−1, a peak luminance of 2298 cd m−2, and stable emissions, rendering that the performance is among the best blue PeLEDs. Furthermore, the integration applications of blue PeLEDs have been studied and the first prototype active‐matrix blue PeLED pixel circuit is demonstrated. Moreover, an unprecedented endeavor for active‐matrix flexible blue PeLEDs has been taken. The findings not only provide an alternative approach to achieve high‐performance blue PeLEDs, but also unlock the significant active‐matrix property of blue PeLEDs, which may pave the pathway for PeLED‐based display technology and related integrated optoelectronics.
