Abstract

This is a study of men involved in the mythopoetic men's movement, as inspired by the poet Robert Bly. Based on participant observation, interviews, and textual analysis, this book looks at who mythopoetic men are, what they seek to do with ritual, myth and poetry, and why. It also assesses the implications of the mythopoetic movement for gender politics in the late 20th century.
