Abstract

Universal Networking Language (UNL) is an artificial language for computers to represent human language using graphs. UNL system consists of UNL Ontology, which provides the semantic background for each Universal Words (UWs) or concepts. UNL Ontology includes possible relations between UWs, UWs definition and UNL system hierarchy. UNL Ontology store all these information in a lattice structure, where UWs are inter-connected through relations including hierarchical relations such as icl (a-kind-of) and iof (an-instance-of). However, it is difficult for human to visualize the UNL ontology. To solve this problem, we have developed a web system to visualize UNL Ontology. This paper describes the web system and its real life applications.
