Abstract

A 6 MeV, 1300 MHz photocathode linear accelerator (linac) has been designed and fabricated by Los Alamos National Laboratory for The Netherlands Center for Laser Research at the University of Twente in Enschede, The Netherlands. The six-cell photoinjector linac is a brazed copper on-axis coupled structure inside a vacuum jacket with an integral vacuum bakeout system. It is a near duplicate of an accelerator which has been in service at the Los Alamos High Brightness Accelerator Facility since 1989.
